The honored pilot named the possible cause of the An-24 crash.
The crew of the An-24, which crashed on July 24 near Tynda, could have made a mistake during landing, Honored pilot of the USSR Georges Shishkin told Izvestia. According to him, the plane could have collided with the ground due to premature descent. Such situations arise due to well-established problems in the civil aviation system, the expert noted.
"This was caused by the loss of the domestic aviation fleet and a high-quality flight training school for pilots. The system needs to be changed so that aircraft crews do not make such mistakes in the future," he explained.
The AN-24 aircraft has always worked flawlessly and is considered reliable and proven, said Honored Pilot of Russia Mikhail Sytnik.
"And it's not necessary to say that the plane was old. It all depends not on the age, but on the condition of the aircraft. If it was working properly, nothing should have happened to it," he added.
According to the expert, over the many years of operation, there have almost never been situations when the An-24 aircraft's aircraft equipment failed.
