The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) plans to commission more than 50 military and civilian vessels by the end of this year. This was announced on July 24 by Andrey Kostin, Chairman of the VTB Management Board and Chairman of the USC Board of Directors, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Andrei Puchkov, CEO of the corporation, in Severodvinsk.

"We plan to commission over 50 military and civilian vessels this year. This is the largest number in all 18 years of USC's existence. At the same time, we are working to modernize the development of production facilities, especially in the machine—building and marine instrumentation," Kostin said.

At the same time, according to the head of VTB, the completion of the repair of the Nakhimov cruiser is a significant event. It is being tested and will soon be able to join the Russian Navy.

Earlier in the day, the Russian leader instructed to continue the serial production of the Yasen-M project multipurpose submarines. According to the head of state, cruisers form the basis of the strike potential of the general-purpose forces of the Russian Navy.
