"The Russian side expresses concern over the escalation of the conflict and calls on the parties to exercise restraint and establish dialogue in order to resolve the Thai-Cambodian contradictions by peaceful means," the statement said.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the current situation in the Asia-Pacific region (APR), it is necessary to search for possible ways to resolve conflicts through unity and solidarity of countries. Zakharova noted that many territorial conflicts in the Asia-Pacific region are caused by the consequences of the colonial policy of the West.
