The Presnensky Court of Moscow has received a criminal case on evading the duties of a foreign agent against TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring). This was reported in court on July 24.

"The criminal case against the accused T. Lazareva under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Evading duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents") has been submitted to the court," the court told TASS.

On July 16, the court arrested Lazareva in absentia in the case of non-compliance with the duties of a foreign agent.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added the TV presenter to the register of individuals who are foreign agents in July 2022. The Russian Interior Ministry put her on the wanted list on June 13, 2024, and on June 19 of the same year she was added to the list of terrorists and extremists.

On July 10, 2024, the court arrested Lazareva in absentia in the case of justifying terrorism. She was charged under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls to carry out terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism using mass media, including the Internet").
