Against the background of increasing problems with ensuring the operation of mobile communications in certain regions of Russia, there is an increasing interest in satellite Internet. This was reported by the Tricolor company.

"The growing interest in satellite Internet is a natural reaction of users to leaving their comfort zone and the inability to use familiar communication channels. At the moment, we are working on scaling the product to meet the growing demand, as well as offering a comfortable pricing policy for our customers," said Daniel Nirman, Head of Tricolor Internet.

According to the company, in the second quarter of 2025, the demand for Tricolor Internet satellite Internet service increased 2.4 times compared to the same period of the previous year. Tricolor experts note that interest in satellite Internet is evenly distributed across populated areas, from small towns to megacities. The trend, according to experts, is associated with increased interruptions in mobile communications and a growing demand for stable access to the network.

As Tricolor representatives emphasized, satellite communications are less dependent on ground infrastructure, which minimizes the risks of disruptions in unstable mobile networks, and also provides Internet access almost anywhere in the country, including remote regions where mobile communications are unavailable.
