The exclusive premiere of the Sci-fi series "Resurrection" will take place on viju

The Resurrection series is based on a popular horror comic created by writer Tim Seeley. The director's chair was shared by Samir Reem ("Guestbook") and Amanda Rowe ("Star Trek: Strange New Worlds"). They skillfully simulate social conflicts, masterfully increase tension from episode to episode and do not forget about the dynamics of the narrative. The script of the series is thought out to the smallest detail and makes the viewer puzzle over another mystery.

The plot takes the viewer to a small provincial town in Wisconsin. For some reason, the recently deceased people suddenly came back to life and started wreaking havoc. Outwardly, nothing has changed in them, only the ability to regenerate has appeared. Among those resurrected was Em Cypress, the daughter of the local sheriff and the younger sister of Officer Dana Cypress. The girl does not remember how she died. Now her sister must find the killer. Everyone came under suspicion, both the living and the dead.

Officer Dana Cypress, a deputy sheriff and part-time single mother, was played by Melanie Scrofano, for whom the sci-fi genre is not new ("Winona Earp", "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds"). According to the creators of the series, Dana is the domino that should set off a chain reaction, and Scrofano was simply created for this image.

David James Elliott ("Police Academy 3: Retraining") appeared in the role of her authoritative father, the sheriff, and Romy Weltman ("Murdoch Investigations") became the mysteriously resurrected sister. Stephen Ogg from "The Walking Dead", Gia Sandhu ("Nikita"), Lara Jean Horostetsky ("The Good Doctor"), Andy McQueen ("The Handmaid's Tale") also starred in the series.

The series premiered on American television in June 2025, and new episodes will be released until mid-August. Russian viewers will be able to watch "Resurrection" on viju. The first episodes are scheduled to be shown on streaming on August 1, and from September 8, the series will be released on viju+ Serial TV channel.
