The Perm Zoo wants to add to its collection of animals and birds. The zoo's plans for the acquisition of new inhabitants have been published on the procurement services, according to the news agency "Hurrah.<url>" on Thursday, July 24.

So, they want to buy two Japanese macaques, a pair of lambs (bearded), a pair of scarlet ibises and two inca cockatoos in the menagerie. In some cards, a specific animal is not specified, only the category is known, for example, "Lions, tigers, elephants and other wild animals."

The total amount of planned expenses at the moment is almost 18.7 million rubles. The bidding has not been announced yet.

The Perm Zoo is scheduled to open a new complex by the end of September 2025. The old menagerie was closed on July 13.

Earlier in July, it was reported that a nursery for plants worth 325 million rubles would be built near Perm. The complex will be located at the Eastern Bypass. It provides for the construction of industrial greenhouses and laboratory facilities.
