New rules for the creation of protected areas introduced in Sevastopol
Sevastopol has adopted a new decree regulating the creation of specially protected natural areas. This is reported by IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the government's press service.
From now on, substantiating documents can be submitted not only by scientific institutions, but also by public associations, government agencies and individual citizens.
The characteristics of the relief, climate, flora and fauna, as well as soil cover have become mandatory information. It is also necessary to provide data on the hydrological network, cartographic materials, and an assessment of the current condition of the site. In addition, it is necessary to provide proposals for the zoning of the future territory.
The documents will be reviewed by the commission and independent experts. And the decision on the creation of a regional protected area will be made by the government of Sevastopol.
Earlier it was reported that advertising of guest houses that have not passed the mandatory classification will be banned in Crimea and Sevastopol from the fall of 2025. The federal law on private tourist accommodation facilities comes into force on September 1. It says that private residential buildings will be given the status of "guest houses" if they meet the established requirements. Next, the authorities will create a register of accommodation facilities and classify them. If the guest house is not included in the list, then online aggregators will have to remove information about it from services and advertising platforms.
