The materials of the case on the destruction of the Khabarovsk Regional Academic Musical Theater building have been submitted to the court. The Regional Prosecutor's Office has approved an indictment against two

employees of a commercial organization. One is charged under the articles "Organization of illegal migration" and "Violation of safety rules during construction work," the second under the article "Destruction of property by negligence."

The investigators found that in August 2024, the theater administration entered into an agreement with a commercial organization to carry out major repairs. The contractor employed foreign workers who did not have the necessary qualifications, and some of them were illegally in Russia.

In October 2024, a fire broke out in flammable building materials due to non-compliance with fire safety regulations during electric welding operations. The fire quickly spread through the building, and it completely collapsed. The damage was estimated at over 980 million rubles.

The property of the accused was seized to ensure compensation for damage, IA AmurMedia writes.

Earlier it was reported that in the Trans-Baikal Territory, two minors were detained for two months due to the arson of a forest that occurred on July 19 near the urban-type settlement of Atamanovka. As a result of the arson, material damage was caused by more than 322 million rubles. Both minor defendants in the case partially admitted their guilt.
