The image of Ozzy Osbourne was immortalized in Tsoi Square in St. Petersburg.
Graffiti depicting British rock musician and Black Sabbath founder Ozzy Osbourne (real name John Michael Osbourne) was painted on July 23 on garage walls on Zverinskaya Street in rock musician Viktor Tsoi Square in St. Petersburg.
Oleg Lukyanov, the author of graffiti with Tsoi, appreciated street art in an interview with Izvestia.
"It turned out quite beautifully. These are modern urban murals. The paint eats into the wall structure and stays there," Lukyanov said.
He added that the image is a show of respect for Ozzy Osbourne. This is also what the locals say when they see street art.
"I'm a musician. Of course, I was in no way spared by his work. I have great respect for his talent," said Veronika Kharlamova, a resident of the northern capital.
The death of the musician was announced on July 22 by the Sky News channel. It is specified that the singer had Parkinson's disease. In addition, he has suffered from other health problems in recent years, including complications from injuries sustained in a fall in 2019.
On July 5, Osbourne, along with other members of the rock band Black Sabbath, gave his last concert in Birmingham. The band featured guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward. Domestic performers also spoke about their emotions from the farewell concert.
