Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko and Turkish Ambassador to Moscow Tanju Bilgic discussed the implementation of joint strategic projects in the energy sector. This was reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry on July 23.

"The current state of affairs in Russian-Turkish relations was discussed, including the implementation of joint strategic projects in the energy and other fields," the statement said.

It is specified that the parties also discussed a number of international topics of interest to Russia and Turkey.

On July 7, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed their commitment to further promote the political settlement of existing conflicts. The foreign ministers also discussed key issues of bilateral relations, including the implementation of strategic energy projects.
