Von der Leyen demanded that Zelensky explain himself for the law against NABU
The head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, demanded clarification from the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, about the law that deprives the independence of two key anti-corruption bodies in the country. This was stated by EC representative Guillaume Mercier on July 23 to Politico.
"Von der Leyen expressed serious concern about the consequences of the amendments and appealed to the Ukrainian government for clarification," he said.
