The top five most popular areas of Moscow among home buyers are Yakimanka, Khamovniki, Basmanny, Savelovsky and Sokolniki. This follows from the data of the development company Dar, prepared on the basis of an analysis of search queries and price growth dynamics, which were reviewed by Izvestia on July 24.

"The sample included 20 districts within the borders of old Moscow, where in June 2025, according to IRN, the average price per square meter increased. Among them, the most attractive ones were identified based on search queries about buying an apartment in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year. Eight districts meeting two criteria at once ranked the territories with the highest cost per square meter," the study says.

As a result, the top 5 formed: Yakimanka (Central Administrative District) with an average cost of 496,842 rubles per 1 sq. m. in June 2025, Khamovniki (CAO) — 475,929 rubles per 1 sq. m., Basmanny (CAO) — 341,884 rubles per 1 sq. m., Savelovsky (CAO) — 331,409 rubles per 1 sq. m. Moscow and Sokolniki (VAO) — 323,603 rubles per 1 sq. m. The list of popular areas also includes Shchukino (NWAO), Konkovo (South Administrative District) and Lyublino (South Administrative District). In all these locations, there is an increased interest in buying a home.

In addition, the maximum dynamics of user interest was recorded in Khamovniki — the growth of requests was 48%, in Basmanny — 31%, in Savelovsky — 20%. In Yakimanka, the growth was 6.6%, in Sokolniki — 7.3%.

"The study showed that, in addition to the long-popular central ones, areas with growing liquidity include areas attractive for business-class development projects. This is clearly seen in Sokolniki with its high—quality recreational areas, where, despite the stagnation of the market, the cost per square meter increased by 1% in June, as well as in the comfortable green Shchukino (+0.7%) with long-standing academic traditions," said Anna Usatova, commercial director of developer Dar.

It is specified that the average price per square meter within the borders of old Moscow in June reached 277,535 rubles, an increase of 0.3% per month and 1.9% since the beginning of 2025. The price increase is observed in 61 of 86 districts of Moscow.

Ashot Sarkisov, CEO of Atera Group, named the most popular destinations for buying suburban real estate in Moscow to Izvestia on June 24. At the moment, these are Rublyovo-Uspenskoe, Novorizhskoye, Minskoye, Kievskoye and Kaluzhskoye highways.
