- The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced its readiness to receive the IAEA technical delegation.
Iran intends to receive a technical delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in a few weeks. This was announced to journalists on July 23 by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi during a visit to New York.
"We actually agreed to receive an IAEA delegation, a technical delegation, so that it would pay a visit to Iran very soon — within two to three weeks to discuss this modality," the Reuters news agency quoted him as saying.
According to the deputy head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the country continues to assess the damage caused to nuclear facilities. Gharibabadi added that if the Eurotroika decides to restore sanctions against Iran, the Islamic Republic will give an appropriate response.
Yesterday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Tehran allows the return of IAEA staff to the territory of the Islamic Republic in the future.
Sky News Arabia TV channel reported on July 20 that Iran will hold talks on its nuclear program with the Eurotroika, which includes France, Great Britain and Germany, in Geneva on July 27.
