Dolphins have been spotted in the Gulf of Finland near St. Petersburg
Dolphins have been spotted in the Gulf of Finland, about 50 km from St. Petersburg. This was reported in the press service of the P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, RIA Novosti.
A local resident was able to capture marine life on video in the area of Zelenogorsk. Oceanologists have suggested that these are bottlenose dolphins, since they can sometimes be found in the eastern part of the Baltic Sea.
Experts suggest that marine animals may return due to improved water quality.
