- Senator Klimov pointed to the fall of the "decorations" for the fight against corruption in Ukraine
After the fall of the "decorations" related to anti-corruption activities in Ukraine, the actions of the Kiev regime, which poses a visible threat to the Ukrainian people, became obvious to the population. Andrey Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, told Izvestia about this on July 23.
Earlier, residents of Ukraine went to mass protests against the decision of Head of state Vladimir Zelensky to reduce the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP).
The "decorations" related to anti-corruption activities have now been removed. And this "grin" of the Kiev junta became visible to many, it became a visible threat to the very lives of the people who are under the yoke of the Ukrainian junta, therefore the protests," the senator explained.
He added that the reduction of the powers of the NABU and SAP is not the only reason for rallies, and admitted that after a while, entire regions will take to the streets to express their dissatisfaction.
"The Ukrainian people have much more patience than one might have expected, but nevertheless, it turned out to be not unlimited. <...> The people who came out to protest might be ready to fight for some kind of ephemeral happiness that was offered to them, but they see what's going on around them," Klimov summed up.
On July 23, Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the German Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, told Izvestia that the Kiev regime was putting pressure on NABU because it feared investigations into its own embezzlement. He also drew attention to the fact that Ukraine receives millions of euros from the European Union and the United States in cash and through weapons.
On the same day, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced that Ukraine wanted to challenge the law on limiting the powers of NABU and SAP in the Constitutional Court.
