Domestic tourism has become a trend among Russian travelers this year.

Domestic tourism is developing very rapidly in Russia. This was stated by Sergey Agafonov, a member of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on entrepreneurship in the field of tourism, at the Izvestia press center on July 23 during a press conference on: "The Equator of Summer: how is the 2025 tourist season going?"

"If it was profitable to buy separate accommodation a few years ago, now package tours are very profitable. <...> This is especially beneficial when you go on vacation with your family," Agafonov drew attention.

According to him, sightseeing tourism is also a trend of the season, including trips to northern destinations (Murmansk, St. Petersburg, the Golden Ring of Russia).

Earlier, on April 18, the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG) and booking services reported on the growing demand for travel with children. According to Tutu, such bookings have more than doubled for the May holidays and 2.6 times for the summer.
