A TV series about AvtoVAZ will be filmed in the Samara region
The Moscow film company will make a series about AvtoVAZ. He will tell about the events from the mid-80s to the present through the stories of three generations of heroes, the press service of the government of the Samara region reported.
It is planned to shoot three seasons of 10 episodes each, and work is currently underway on the pilot. Mainly regional actors will be involved in the production, and auditions will begin in September. According to the authors of the series, any resident of the region can try his hand, he does not have to be a professional actor.
The creators of the series intend to rely on real prototypes and correspond to the historical facts of AVTOVAZ's development, as well as the events that are currently taking place at the plant.
"We will tell the story of not only the most unique enterprise, but also the entire region, and therefore the entire country of that era. First of all, this is a story about people, about families, about the breakdown of worldview and the construction of a new world order in a country that has not won socialism. The viewer learns the key moments of the development of modern Russia through the eyes of ordinary factory workers, doctors, security forces, officials," said Alexander Ostroverkh—Kvanciani, producer and head of the New Cinema Distribution film company.
The day before, it was reported that AvtoVAZ in early autumn will consider the possibility of changing the schedule of its production sites from September 29. The decision to introduce a part-time, four-day, working week will be made based on an analysis of the market situation and economic factors.
