The Marines told about the liberation of the village of Komar in the DPR

The assault groups of the 336th separate Marine brigade of the Vostok group of forces told about the details of the liberation of settlements in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on July 23 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"The task was assigned to the battalion commanders to enter Komar and clean it up. We went to the landing, but it turned out to be impassable. When the sun began to set, we decided to follow the postcard along the landing. As soon as they heard the copter from above, they immediately dived back. As a result, we made much faster progress," said the platoon commander with the call sign Kazbek.

He noted that the battalion had been located near the center of the settlement for a week, defending it and waiting for help.

According to a stormtrooper with the call sign Cynologist, during the defense of Komar, some servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were captured.

"We were sitting in the anchorage, watching — the enemy comes out from around the corner with his hands raised. We did not open fire on him. Enemy "birds" flew over us, 120 mortars began to work, and FPV drones arrived. He ran towards us, we <...> led him into the building and thus saved his life," the stormtrooper with the call sign Cynologist shared.

The liberation of the Komar settlement was the result of coordinated actions. During the fighting, the units broke through the enemy's echelon defenses, cleared more than 1,100 buildings and hoisted Russian flags.

Earlier, on July 21, Russian servicemen spoke about the work on the liberation of Chasova Yar. A military man with the call sign Bushta said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not let them get close to him, releasing drones.

In addition, a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Arkhipka noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use various explosive traps to mine territories in the area of the settlement. According to him, if there is a stick on the ground, it is better not to touch it.
