The European Union (EU) may impose sanctions on Ukraine after the adoption by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of a law limiting the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP). This was reported by Spectator magazine on July 22.

"Western diplomats warned Zelensky that the adoption of this law could jeopardize the process of Ukraine's accession to the EU, cancel the visa—free regime and even provoke the imposition of EU sanctions against Ukraine," the publication says.
