Guards Sergeant Filatov repaired a transport-charging machine in his area

Guard Private Sergei Shentsev, as part of an artillery battery, provided fire support to Russian units when the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) tried to attack under the cover of their artillery and armored vehicles. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, July 23, told about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

During the battle, Shentsev formed charges and installed fuses for an artillery piece. He performed the task quickly and professionally, which allowed him to fire at the enemy at maximum speed. As a result, Shentsev's team managed to eliminate three armored vehicles and about ten units of the Armed Forces personnel. The enemy was forced to retreat, and an attempt to attack the Russian positions was successfully thwarted.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professional and decisive actions of the electrical driver, Guard Sergeant Nikita Filatov, who was on combat duty as part of a rocket battery.

The Uragan multiple Launch rocket System (MLRS) arrived to recharge its combat kit when an artillery shell from the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged a transport-loading vehicle. Filatov understood that it was necessary to charge the Uragan as quickly as possible and return the MLRS to a combat position, so he immediately began repairing the transport and charging vehicle. Despite the threat of repeated shelling from the enemy, the soldier managed to repair the equipment and complete the work with MLRS.

Earlier, on July 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Senior Sergeant Dmitry Chernenko was monitoring the airspace in the area of his military operations when he noticed an enemy quadcopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) approaching Russian positions.

A day earlier, on July 21, the ministry said that Junior Sergeant Yaroslav Pavlov had received a combat mission to make a passage through the mine-explosive barriers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the task, he noticed an enemy drone rapidly approaching him in the air.
