Elton John commented on the death of Ozzy Osbourne

On July 22, British singer and songwriter Elton John commented on the death of British rock musician and founder of the Black Sabbath band Ozzy Osbourne (real name John Michael Osbourne).

"He was a close friend of mine and a true pioneer who earned himself a place in the pantheon of rock gods - a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I've ever met. I will miss him very much," he wrote on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

Elton John also expressed his condolences to the Osborne family.

The death of the musician was announced on July 22 by the Sky News channel. It is specified that the singer had Parkinson's disease. In addition, he has suffered from other health problems in recent years, including complications from injuries sustained in a fall in 2019.

On July 5, Osbourne, along with other members of the rock band Black Sabbath, gave his last concert in Birmingham. The band featured guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward. Domestic performers also spoke about their emotions from the farewell concert.
