Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, spoke on Tuesday, July 22, about the amount of precipitation that fell in Moscow.

"20 mm fell at Baltschug station, about 50 mm fell in the Kuntsevo area. The rains were of a local nature. But even those 50 mm that fell in the area of Moscow State University and Kuntsevo were enough to create a difficult situation on the highways of Moscow," she said in an interview with RT.

The meteorologist added that the rains will continue in the coming days, but their intensity will be less.

The expert noted that heavy precipitation was recorded in the capital from 09:00 to 12:00: 30.8 mm of precipitation fell in the Timiryazevskaya Agricultural Academy area, 32.5 mm on the MKAD-24, 39.4 mm in Konkovo, and a record 57.3 mm on Varshavskoye Highway.
