The wine warehouse was included in the list of cultural heritage sites in Moscow
The architectural complex of the Moscow state–owned Wine Warehouse No. 1 of the XIX–XX centuries (now the Moscow Kristall Factory) was included in the list of 142 cultural heritage sites. This was announced on Tuesday, July 22, by the press service of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the capital.
The complex consists of buildings on Samokatnaya Street and was the largest enterprise in the industry at the time of its creation, NSN notes.
The oldest buildings of the complex date back to 1851-1876. The main buildings were designed by architect Nikolai Faleev and engineer Viktor Velichkin, the website writes kp.ru In 1987, the wine warehouse was transformed into a factory, and since 2013, production has been moved to the Moscow region. The head office remained in Moscow, according to the Moscow City News agency.
There are 3,975 historical buildings listed in the register of cultural heritage sites, all of them are under state protection, and the owners are required to comply with the requirements for their preservation, Moscow 24 clarifies.
