The State Duma explained the requests to Poles to leave Russia
Requests from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to their compatriots to leave the territory of Russia may be information manipulation. This opinion was expressed by State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova on Tuesday, July 22.
Earlier in the day, the Polish Foreign Ministry recommended that its citizens staying in the Russian Federation leave the country, RT reports.
Zhurova linked the statement of the Polish Foreign Ministry with an attempt to create panic among her compatriots living in Russia. In her opinion, with such steps, Warsaw once again shows its citizens that defense spending is justified.
"Fear must be instilled in people. And then they will say: yes, of course, it is more important for us to spend on defense than on social needs. This indicates the manipulation of panic moods, information warfare," the parliamentarian said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
She also admitted that requests to Poles living in Russia may be aimed at Russian society in order to intimidate civilians, according to the website. kp.ru . It may also be an attempt to threaten Moscow before the next round of negotiations.
On July 18, the Polish Ministry advised citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia, NSN reports. It was clarified that this was due to the recognition of the country as an unfriendly state by the Russian Federation against the background of the conflict in Ukraine.
