On July 22, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted amendments to the draft law on cybersecurity and countering extremism in the third reading.

Now, Russians can face fines of up to 5,000 rubles for intentionally searching for materials with extremist content and gaining access to them.

In addition, a law has been passed on the introduction of fines of up to 500 thousand rubles for the distribution of VPN advertising.
