Two Ukrainian agents were detained in Tatarstan for preparing a terrorist attack.

In Tatarstan, two residents of the Khabarovsk Territory were detained in a case of treason and preparation for a terrorist attack on the territory of the Russian Federation. This was announced on July 22 by the press service of the office of the FSB of Russia in the republic.

It is specified that the attackers contacted an employee of the Ukrainian intelligence service in order to obtain Ukrainian citizenship and move to its territory. They received from him the coordinates of a cache containing explosives and elements of an improvised explosive device for committing a terrorist act.

"Criminal cases have been initiated under Article 275 ("High treason in the form of providing other assistance directed against the security of the Russian Federation"), Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act") and Part 3 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, shipment or carrying explosives or explosive devices")," follows from the material cited by TASS.

Earlier, on July 18, law enforcement officers detained a resident of Feodosia for transferring data on the locations of military installations and the location of air defense forces to the special service and military intelligence of Ukraine. It was clarified that the man sent the information via messenger. In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Treason").
