In the Ulyanovsk region, five children contracted an acute intestinal infection in a camp. This was announced on July 22 by the press service of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor on the website.

"In connection with the receipt on July 21, 2025, of emergency notices on the registration of cases of acute intestinal infections in five children vacationing at the SMART camp, the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Ulyanovsk region immediately organized a sanitary and epidemiological investigation," the publication says.

It is specified that the specialists took samples of water, food products and flushes on the territory of the camp. In addition, a laboratory examination of children, employees of the food store and the camp was conducted.

At the moment, the investigation is ongoing.
