A case has been opened in Moscow against police officers who transmitted data to the Telegram channel.

In Moscow, investigators have opened a criminal case against police officers who transmitted restricted access information to one of the Telegram channels. This was announced on July 22 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

"The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Moscow has opened a criminal case on abuse of official authority by police officers (Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the publication says.

It is specified that law enforcement officers illegally transmitted information in the Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk territories, as well as in the Belgorod region. Further information was published in one of the Telegram channels.
