So, in the Krasnodar Territory, on 43 km of the federal highway A-146 Krasnodar — Verkhnebakansky, a 44-year-old female passenger car driver collided with another passenger car moving in front of her in the same direction, after which both cars hit a road fence and slid into a ditch. As a result of the accident, the culprit of the collision was injured and ended up in the hospital, and her 16-year-old passenger, after receiving medical attention at the scene, was sent for outpatient treatment. At the time of the car accident, she was in the back seat wearing a seat belt.
Temporary closures or traffic restrictions are continuing in some regions of the country due to adverse weather conditions. So, in the Tyumen region, due to flooding of the roadway, traffic on seven highways of regional significance was temporarily stopped. In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, traffic on 59 km of the federal highway A-158 "Prokhladny - Baksan — Elbrus" was temporarily suspended due to damage to the bridge over the Gerkhozhansu River due to a mudflow. A detour has been organized.
The State Traffic Inspectorate recommended that motorists, when planning long-distance trips in the summer, familiarize themselves with the weather forecast and media information about possible overlap points along the way, outlining detours in advance. In case of traffic restrictions or closure of road sections due to worsening weather conditions, the relevant information is promptly posted on the website of the State Traffic Inspectorate, as well as on the official pages of the service units in social networks.
In summer, during frequent morning fogs, rains and thunderstorms, you should be extremely careful when driving: avoid sudden reckless maneuvers and lane changes on slippery roads, observe the interval and distance between vehicles, and do not exceed the set speed.
"It is necessary to drive a car in conditions of insufficient visibility with external lighting devices turned on, it is mandatory to use fog lights, if available, and during heavy fog or heavy precipitation, reduce speed as much as possible and move with the alarm lights on. In case of participation in an accident, the scene should be identified, if necessary, call the Traffic police, and if there are victims, an ambulance team," Police Colonel Anton Belan, deputy head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, told Izvestia.
On July 18, it was reported that following the results of the first half of 2025 in Moscow, the number of accidents related to vehicle collisions decreased by 4.7% compared to the same period last year.
