The UK has opened a criminal case against journalist Anna Mongayt.
In Moscow, a criminal case was opened against the journalist of Dozhd (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) Anna Mongayt (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent). This was announced on July 21 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the capital.
"The Presnensky interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Department for the Central Administrative District of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow has opened a criminal case against Anna Mongayt," the department's Telegram channel says.
She is suspected of committing a crime in accordance with paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation").
According to the investigation, Mongayt posted publications in one of the messengers that contained false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of another country. At the moment, the issue of declaring a wanted person is being considered. In addition, actions are being carried out related to the collection and consolidation of the evidence base.
Earlier, on July 18, the Russian Interior Ministry put on the wanted list rapper Face (Ivan Dremin, recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) under a criminal article. At the same time, it was not indicated under which article he was accused.
