The pop of household gas caused a fire in a multi-storey building in Novorossiysk. This was reported on July 21 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Krasnodar Territory.

"The city Prosecutor's office has organized a check on the fact of domestic gas popping in an apartment on the fifth floor in a residential building located at 12 Anapa Highway Street," the publication says on the department's Telegram channel.

It is specified that the fire is currently localized, measures are being taken to eliminate it. All residents have been evacuated, there are no injuries.

The building was never put into operation, but people moved into it by court order.

Earlier that day, three apartments in a multi-storey apartment building caught fire in Novorossiysk. Rescuers evacuated 25 people. In total, 20 specialists and eight pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
