In the north of Moscow, a baby was hospitalized after being circumcised at home. This was reported on July 21 by a source of Izvestia.

It is noted that the incident occurred in the Vostochnoye Degunino area. The incident became known on Sunday, July 20, after the neighbors of the family of the injured baby called the police because of the loud screams of a woman and a child crying.

"A migrant family with four children lives in the apartment. On July 19, the parents invited a surgeon home to perform a ceremony for a 5-month-old boy. The next day, the child began to have seizures, weakness, paleness, and an ambulance was called," the source said.

It is reported that the baby was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and severe anemia in the hospital, the causes of seizures have not been established. The child is in critical condition in intensive care.

The doctor who performed the circumcision was detained in connection with the incident. The child's mother was also held accountable under Article 5.35 of the Administrative Code ("Failure to fulfill parental duties") and Article 18.8 ("Violation of migration registration").

On June 28, in the Minusinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a nine-month-old child drowned in a bathtub at home while his mother was washing dishes and listening to music in the kitchen. After a while, the woman heard the cry of the eldest child and, returning to the bathroom, found her younger daughter lying underwater without signs of life.
