Viktor Safronov, People's Artist of the RSFSR, passed away at the age of 94. This was announced on July 21 on the website of the government of the Ulyanovsk region.

"An outstanding master of Russian and world art, a People's Artist of the RSFSR, whose works became part of the treasures of the largest museums and served as inspiration for many generations, has passed away," said Governor Alexei Russky.
