Several people have already become the first victims of the "silent hunt" in the Lipetsk region in 2025. They were poisoned by fly agarics, although they were sure that they were collecting edible mushrooms — coops and pushers.

The first victims were two residents of the Gryazinsky district — a 48-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman. They were admitted to the acute poisoning department of Lipetsk Emergency Hospital No. 1 three hours after they ate poisonous mushrooms for dinner.

Three more people — a 55-year—old man and two 59 and 85-year-old women - picked mushrooms in the area of the Metallurg-3 farming co-op. All of them got to the clinic after they tasted the collected food, writes GOROD48.

The victims were admitted to a medical facility with clinical manifestations of intoxication psychosis and impaired consciousness. Thanks to the competent actions of the doctors, the patients' condition was stabilized. All the poisoned people have already been discharged.

Earlier, the doctor reminded the precautions when picking mushrooms. First of all, it is important to remember that some poisonous specimens look like they are edible.
