A St. Petersburg man is suspected of murdering his grandmother in Kupchino
In St. Petersburg, the circumstances of the death of a pensioner who lived in the Frunzensky district are being investigated. Her grandson is suspected of murder, reports 78.ru on Monday, July 21st.
The night before, a woman called 112 and reported that her brother had gone to visit his grandmother on Malaya Balkanskaya Street, after which she stopped answering the phone.
A squad of law enforcement officers was called to the scene. They found the body of a 75-year-old St. Petersburg woman in the hallway with signs of strangulation and drowning, as well as cuts on her arms.
Soon, the woman's 23-year-old grandson was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is known to have schizophrenia. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
