In Russia, the rules of entry of ships from abroad to the country's seaports have been tightened

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree according to which ships from foreign ports will be allowed to enter Russian seaports in coordination with the FSB. The relevant document was published on July 21 on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

"To establish that ships coming from foreign ports enter the seaports of the Russian Federation with the permission of the captain of the seaport, agreed with an official of the Federal Security Service," the decree says.

It is noted that the document comes into force from the date of its publication, and the Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to ensure the implementation of the decree.

On June 9, it was reported that the FSB of Russia had suppressed 236 illegal exports of drones and military equipment since October 1, 2023.
