Senator Graham, who threatens Moscow with sanctions, has been added to the list of Russia's enemies.

The American Republican senator Lindsey Graham (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) was included in the list of the Russophobes project. This was reported on the project's website.

The authors posted a card of a Republican politician who has repeatedly been noted for aggressive attacks against the Russian Federation over the past 15 years. In 2011, Graham co-sponsored a resolution on "Russian aggression" after the conflict in Georgia in 2008.

After Russia recognized the territories of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the politician tried to impose "harsh sanctions." The senator also demanded that Russia be included in the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

In 2023, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case against Graham after saying: "Russians are dying. We've never spent money so well before."

Earlier, on June 30, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russia had taken note of Graham's words about the imposition of tough US sanctions against Russia's trading partners. He also believes that the senator belongs to a group of avid Russophobes.
