A dead baby was found in an Omsk hotel room

A dead baby was found in a hotel room in Omsk, and a criminal case has been opened. This was reported on July 21 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Omsk region.

"On July 18, while cleaning a room in a hotel located on 5th Putevaya Street in Omsk, a maid discovered the body of a newborn. <...> A criminal case was opened on this fact," the Telegram channel says.

The identity of the suspect was established. According to the preliminary version, a 16-year-old resident of the Omsk suburb specifically rented a hotel room for childbirth and the subsequent murder of a newborn, after which she left the crime scene.

The suspect was detained. She was charged under Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a newborn child by a mother"). The circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

Earlier, on June 25, the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region reported the murder of a newborn child by his mother, who went on the run. It was clarified that the woman threw her daughter on the sofa, as a result, the girl died from a traumatic brain injury. The mother was detained, and a criminal case was opened under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor")
