Over the past weekend, 732 road accidents occurred on Russian roads, in which 102 people were killed and 971 injured. 90 of the dead were passengers and drivers. This was reported to Izvestia on July 21 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

16 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which one person was killed, and another 21 road users needed medical attention. Three bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by their drivers.

In the Republic of Dagestan, a minibus driver who was carrying 20 passengers in violation of the rules, 19 of whom were children aged 7 to 17 years old, who were returning from a picnic, ran into a concrete fence on the roadway, followed by overturning the vehicle. As a result of 132 road accidents, 38 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 94 outside their area of operation, 12 pedestrians were killed, 127 more were injured of varying severity.
