Rainy weather will continue in Moscow, with precipitation approaching record levels at the beginning of the week. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on July 21.

According to the leading expert, Monday will be the most stormy day of the week. Heavy rainfall is expected during the day.

"There will be a lot of precipitation today. It is possible that it will be close to record values," the meteorologist noted.

In the future, the cyclone will continue to affect the region, but the rains will become less intense. Light to moderate precipitation will be observed in the capital until Thursday. The temperature background, as noted by the forecaster, will not change significantly. At night, the temperature will stay within +14...+17 degrees, and it will rise to +21 in the afternoon...+26 degrees.

The weather will start to improve only from Friday. It was then, according to Pozdnyakova, that the crest of the anticyclone would begin to affect the capital region. Precipitation is expected to stop, clear up and sunny periods.

At the same time, night temperatures may drop slightly on Saturday due to variable clouds and lack of rain. They will be 1-2 degrees lower compared to the beginning of the week, the forecaster added.

Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, said on July 20 that rains and thunderstorms are expected in Moscow next week. He added that the daytime temperature on Monday and Tuesday will be +22...+25 degrees, on Wednesday and Thursday — +25...+28, on Friday — +26...+29 degrees. The night temperature will reach +16...+19 degrees.
