Rainy weather will remain in Moscow until the end of the day, but precipitation will be calm and uniform. Alexander Shuvalov, a forecaster and head of the Meteo forecasting center, told Izvestia about this on July 21.

According to him, the frontal zone, which caused prolonged rains in Moscow, left the capital around 11:00. It stretches from northwest to southeast through the Moscow region, but is gradually shifting. In Ryazan, precipitation stopped before noon, in Kolomna — around 13:00, and by 18-19 hours the rain is expected to end in Moscow.

In the north-west of the Moscow region, precipitation will remain a little longer, but it will completely stop by nightfall. According to the expert, the night will pass without rain, but tomorrow afternoon short—term precipitation is possible - "not of the same intensity" and "unrelated to the frontal zone." According to Shuvalov, these will be intramassic convective rains.

The temperature will remain low, ranging from +22...+24 degrees during the day. A more noticeable warming is expected on Friday, when even short-term afternoon rains will stop.

"There will be much more sun on Friday, and no precipitation is expected. The temperature will immediately exceed the limit of 25 degrees," he said.

Shuvalov noted that "there will be no powerful lightning activity," and the rain, although it will continue until the evening, will be "steady, prolonged, not spontaneous."

Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, said on July 20 that rains and thunderstorms are expected in Moscow next week. He added that the daytime temperature on Monday and Tuesday will be +22...+25 degrees, on Wednesday and Thursday — +25...+28, on Friday — +26...+29 degrees. The night temperature will reach +16...+19 degrees.
