Since the beginning of July, the river has become shallow by more than 1 m. According to the <url> news agency, the water level in this river dropped to a historical minimum on October 1, 2023. Then it was -95 cm.

Prior to that, the absolute minimum was recorded the day before that date, on September 30th. Then the water level in the Tour was -93 cm. In previous years, the average water level on this day was -62 cm. And in 2022, the indicator dropped to -71 cm.

In the autumn of 2024, rivers and lakes in the Murmansk Region became significantly shallow due to the hot summer and lack of precipitation. At the end of August, new lows remained only 2 cm on the Akkim River, 3 cm on the Ena River, 6 cm on the Ur and Lotte rivers, 7 cm on the Varzug, 9 cm on the Shovna, Kola and Sergevan rivers. The minimum water level on the Pecha River has been updated.
