Russian athletes who participated in the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore were welcomed at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport. Footage from the airport on July 21 is published by Izvestia.

Upon arrival, the swimmers were greeted with a loaf of Russian folk music. The athletes were also presented with bouquets and gifts. In addition, they took a shared photo as a keepsake.

Russian synchronized swimmer Alexander Maltsev won the gold medal in the solo technical program at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore on July 19. The International Federation of Water Sports (World Aquatics) called his victory stunning. It was noted that he became the first Russian athlete to win gold at the World Championships in Singapore.

On July 21, Maltsev won his second gold medal, winning the solo free skate at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.
