The American airline Alaska Airlines has temporarily suspended all flights. This was reported by the New York Times on July 20, citing the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

"Alaska Airlines has requested a flight shutdown for the entire fleet of aircraft that fly under its brand," the publication says.

The restriction initially applied to more than 200 Alaska Airlines aircraft, but later extended to Horizon Airlines. The airline later stated that the reason for the flight termination was problems with IT systems.

The Milliyet newspaper reported on June 29 that the Adnan Menderes International Airport in Izmir, Turkey, temporarily stopped work due to forest fires in the province. Some of the flights were redirected to airports in other cities.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
