The media learned about more than a thousand dead in clashes in Syria's Essaouide
The death toll from armed clashes between the Druze group and Bedouin formations in the Syrian province of al-Suwayda has exceeded 1,000 people. This was reported on July 21 by Sky News Arabia TV channel with reference to medical data.
"The death toll <...> in al-Suwayda in southern Syria has increased to 1.1 thousand people," the publication says.
It is noted that this number includes 298 Druze civilians, 354 employees of the Ministry of Defense and 427 fighters of Druze self-defense units.
On July 18, the Nashra news portal reported at least 203 deaths as a result of clashes between a Druze group and a Bedouin militia. The victims included 92 Druze, including 21 civilians, 18 Bedouins and 93 soldiers from the Syrian Armed Forces.
