The media reported a new court postponement of Netanyahu's testimony.
The Jerusalem District Court has postponed the testimony of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again due to the politician's ill health. This was reported by The Times of Israel on July 20.
"Due to illness, the Jerusalem District Court canceled Netanyahu's scheduled testimony in the criminal trial on Monday and Tuesday," the material says.
The publication noted that Netanyahu's lawyer, Amit Hadad, requested that the hearing be postponed. The Prosecutor General's Office agreed, but asked Netanyahu to testify on July 23 and 24.
The court rejected the proposal to hold meetings on these dates due to scheduling issues. It is clarified that the next hearing may not take place until September due to the fact that the Israeli courts are going on summer holidays.
The Times of Israel newspaper reported on July 20 that Netanyahu had intestinal inflammation due to spoiled food. It is specified that, at the doctor's insistence, the head of state will work from home for the next three days.
