The group of tourists who disappeared while kayaking in the White Sea numbered nine people, not seven, as previously reported. This was reported on July 20 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Arkhangelsk region.

"According to updated information, the group consisted of nine people. <...> At the moment, four people have been found. The search for three people continues," the agency's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that two tourists were able to complete the route on their own and get to Solovetsky Island. In addition to employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the I.A. Polivany Rescue service, specialists from the Maritime Rescue Service are involved in the search. A helicopter and boats are involved.

On July 20, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a group of seven tourists had disappeared in Karelia. It was clarified that the detachment was not registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
