Musician Vadim Rulev, who played trombone in the Russian rock band The Hatters, crashed to his death with his wife Ekaterina on a motorcycle in the Leningrad region. This was announced on July 20 by the TV channel 78.ru .
According to the source of the publication, the accident occurred on 34 km of the Zverevo – Malinovka highway. Rulev was riding a motorcycle with his 33-year-old wife, lost control, he drove into oncoming traffic, and then crashed into a Land Rover car. Both spouses died on the spot.
It is reported that a 52-year-old entrepreneur was driving a Land Rover.
"Our friend Vadim Rulev and his wife Ekaterina have died. We mourn. You were our close friends, with whom we went through a lot. A bright memory. Condolences to the family and friends," The Hatters wrote on their Telegram channel.
On the same day in Nizhny Novgorod, a carsharing driver, being intoxicated, killed a pedestrian. According to preliminary data, the 26-year-old Chery Tiggo driver drove into the oncoming lane on Lenin Avenue, then onto the sidewalk, where he hit a 35-year-old man.
