Bulgarian racer's car catches fire at GT World Europe
At the stage of the GT World Europe racing series in the Italian city of Misano, the car of Bulgarian pilot Georgy Donchev caught fire.
His Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2 crashed into a bump and ignited after a collision with a rival.
Donchev quickly left the burning car and was not injured. Due to the fire, red flags were raised on the track, which suspended the race, TASS said.
The competition continued after the consequences of the accident were eliminated.
On April 29, a racer from the USA accelerated to 550 km/h and set a speed record. Brittany Force of the John Force Racing team set a record during the qualifying races, driving a dragster with a capacity of 11 thousand horsepower. The previous best result also belonged to her — in 2022, the American accelerated to 545.47 km/h.
